In November last year, the speaker at our HCA Open Meeting was Ben Dodd, from the Greener Futures Leicestershire program, who talked to us about Community Energy projects.
This created a good deal of interest, with many attendees saying that they would like to see some Community Energy projects being set up in the Market Harborough area. In particular seeing the development of one or two Solar PV Community Energy Share Offers and setting up a team of local Energy Champions.
A small group of us have been meeting behind the scenes to plan how to make this happen, and we are now ready to launch a new group, Harborough Community Energy, which will have its inaugural meeting as follows :
