Harborough Big Green Week gave us a great opportunity to build our United for Warm Homes campaign. We kicked off a week or so before by starting our House Cosy project and carried on with it throughout Big Green Week. Thanks to everyone who knitted squares and helped with the stalls we set up over the week. We put the House Cosy on the house at the Big Green Picnic in Welland Park on June 18th. 255 knitted or crocheted patches went into it. The competition to guess how many squares were used was won by 11 year old Jenna Horton.
The cosy proved a good talking point at all of the events where we displayed it, and helped us collect 200 more names on the petition. We have nearly 500 names so far but we want thousands, so if you haven't done so already, please do sign, using the button below. Thanks.
Look out for more United for Warm Homes events over the summer.
